Signs That You Need A New Air Conditioner
As warmer weather is starting to appear, it is almost time to start turning on your air conditioning units. Living in the beautiful state of South Carolina means that spring and summer temperatures arise quick and have a drastic change from the weather we’ve been experiencing. Being that your air conditioner probably hasn’t been working at full speed since the previous summer, your unit might have some issues that could leave you to be hot and sweaty for upcoming months. If you turn on your unit and hear a “click clack clank” noise it probably is an indicator that you could potentially need a new air conditioning unit. It is a good idea to have your unit checked out if you are experiencing any of the following:
Blows Warm Air/Weak Air Flow
As temperatures increase, it is common that people will turn on their air conditioner unit in order to cool off but, what happens when you turn on your unit and it starts blowing hot air? Or the air flow is so poor that it’s almost better if the unit is off? This issue can be caused by a number of different things including a cracked duct or their could possibly be a compressor that is not properly working. If this issue is not resolved, it can result in the system burning out. If either of these issues are present within your unit, it is a good idea to call 911 Comfort Air so we can assess and fix your system to ensure you have a cool spring.
Air conditioners usually operate in a nearly quiet manner so if you hear any unusual noises coming from your unit, it probably isn’t the best sign. If you are experiencing a clanking noise, it could potentially mean that there is a loose or broken part within your unit. Another sound that is common in broken units is the clicking noise usually made by a thermostat after it has been turned on. If you hear this noise multiple times it could mean that your unit is backfiring in some way which can result in catastrophic damage or even the need for a new unit. Call 911 Comfort Air if you hear the old “click clack clank” noises coming from your system.
High Energy Bills
Saving money is one of the most, if not the most, important thing in today’s society. So why waste money on something you don’t need to waste it on? As today’s technology advances, so does the efficiencies of machines and systems. If your unit is 8, 9, or even 10 years old, you could be paying a lot more to the energy company than you might want to. In the long run, installing a new unit that is efficient can help reduce the cost of expensive and older units. At 911 Comfort Air, we can provide our customers with dependable work to ensure their systems are installed and working properly.
